Obs passive > shade passive.... Why.

Small change, when shade and obs have overlapping fields currently obs wins out right, I'd like to see some sort of battle effect between the two. Either a sort of phase shifting where things go from cloaked to uncloaked slowly and back again. Alternatively allow aliens to maintain 50-75% transparency and keep the current rine HUD's blue circle and mini map dot.
Currently obs active and passive have the same ability and strength, As I understand the game and such usually the active ability is a more intense version of the passive, Since you can't really increase effectiveness of current active your left decreasing effectiveness of passive.
Obviously active has the added ability of being targeted, and that makes it more powerful, but at the moment I would like to see shade become more viable and aliens receive a general buff.

Say your playing docking and rines put their obs in north east corner of terminal... Now a shade in east wing is useless.... The obs just wins, and the shade might as well not be their.... I argue that it should still have some useful capacity. The obs still gets its motion tracking and declocking ability the shade get no passive ability in the overlap.
This is seems odd to me if the obs is going to interfere with cloacking maybe the shade could interfere with motion tracking/rine HUD....
Heck, even scans should be 'obscured' this way. No real cloaking, only minimap dots.
Last I checked, ink doesn't block an active scan, only scans that happen after the ink is dropped.
Basically ink is useless.
Also about the obs > shade, I would think they should just push against eachother and their effective fields should meet in the middle? Shade disables the motion tracking when closer to it, while the obs disables the cloaking when closer to it?
How about the shade cloaks everything, but the obs shows motion tracking on all structures and players? Means marines know things are there, just not what/who it is.
This seems like the cleanest and most sensible solution to be honest. At least that way one doesn't simply hardcounter the other.
I like this. Commanders should be forced to use scan to reveal everything.
Stealthy cloaked gameplay that allows you to get the first hit in reliably is perfect for newbies learning the game for the first time.
