<div class="IPBDescription">seriously</div>There is no way to keybind chuckle, or to even initiate it with key-commands. This is the most important alien command in the game and it requires at least the option to bind it to something. That or bring back the superior x 1-5 keys for issuing commands. Seriously nobody wants to issue a command with their mouse, that makes moving and shooting impossible.

I don't like the mouse command interface either.
Now I can spam the cute gorge taunt as much as I want. :3
I trolled the devs about this decision some, I'd rather see the CS implementation like it was before or maybe even the vastly superior BF1942 way of using voice/radio commands. That one has no loss of control at all (mouse or weapon selection keys)

And of course custom binds are a must!
P.S. To OP: Hurr hurr hurr.
At least the Kharaa taunts are back.
Also the most used and important commands have a larger degree of movement. So things like 'help me commander' might be given a 40 degree slot say, but taunt would be given maybe 15 degrees.
NS2's new commo-rose is the right idea, but it's flawed in execution. Having it based on mouse movement and not clicking would virtually eliminate the current problems with it - once you know where all the commands are, it almost becomes instinctual.

Agreed, BF2 had one of the best VGS systems.
I also noticed there's Taunt/Chuckle during gestation and it makes a weird noise.
But to keep it consistent, just use the default one and change the pitch and tone of it.
So an Onos will have a deep bass chuckle, a Gorge a slightly less deep and the lerk a very high pitched one.

Amen. All you need to do is divide the screen into giant wedges outside the "neutral" center, and track what wedge the mouse was in when the rose button is released.
