Experience with older rigs and new performance update?

I haven't had the chance to play on this machine but I am running

Core2Duo e6750 3.2ghz
geforce 8800gtz 512mb
8gb ddr2
etc

Anyone have a reference point for playing on older generation rigs? Thanks!

I remember the devs saying that their goal was to have the game run on a 8800 as the bare minimum. So I am sure it would be at least playable.
