Ur insane! Aliens with a one shot attack (even with cooldown.. not like 8 attacks in a row..) would be sooooooo OP. Please dude, no one shot for aliens or rine tears will kill a kitten.
Yes OPgun is OP and needs a nerf or two. W3 OPgun against lerk... rines always scream that its !!!20!!! res and can rarly picked up again ;;;)... but a 30res lerk is dead meat against this little reuseable 20res even at long range (omg thats not op.. we need more then 1 shot..). Make atleast spikes easier to hit with... like lolgun.. right now its a nightmare to hit with this ###### and the other attack are melee (no melee against opgun possible as lerk).
Opgun needs less range (i call it the lerk snipe gun) and shouldn kill any lifeform with one shot at melee range (at least not with cara).

I think more than anything the problem is that killing a lerk/fade or onos feels gd and you have really hurt the alien team as it is just now you kill a marine with a pres bought weapon there is no gd feeling as you know you can't stop them from just picking it back up again, hence ppl rage about all the marine weapons ,, to put it another way marines no they will die 1v1 9/10 with fade but that one time they get him down they no hes gone for gd.

My gripe is that a 20 res shotgun can onehit a 50 res fade. 2hits with carapace. SO you naysayers who don't believe its overpowered, Heres why it is; Its a late game weapon, hell the only gun you'll ever need, ever, in a 10 seconds in, 20 resource package. If it can take down a fade in ONE SHOT (or 2), then does that not say its overly powered?! Seems like now the only thing it doesnt one/two hit is the onos, and thats because the onos is far more overpowered than a shotgun can ever be. 1.3k hp, 600 armor, 1k wih cara, Wut. Srsly. Big jump.
OP is right, Shotguns overpowered, they need to be alot less like a onehitkill Rapeweapon at any range, and more like a shortranged scattergun. The one change that DOES Need to happen is: Make them do light damage again.
