I just loaded up a local server to run around and see what changed.
Is it just me, or are the commander HUDs broken? The Alien commander HUD has some new smokey animation effect, but it's overlaid on top of the control buttons (judging by the minimap, its supposed to be behind it.) Marine commander control buttons seem to have an ever-present rectangle over the whole thing, and none of the tooltips pop up.
Only other thing I notice so far are the loading screens. The slideshow is nothing new, though depicting the new dynamic infestation is very interesting. More interesting though, is the minimap of the level it's from. Unfortunately, it seems to be randomly selected, as it showed me Tram when I was loading Veil.
I think this would be awesome if it would load the slideshow and minimap for the level you're loading into.

Good to see this actually. No reason why the main menu should over stress your video card when it does not need to!

It definitely showed me Tram when I was loading Veil. Granted, this was a local server, so maybe that escaped play testing?
I just tested it again very quickly (though I should be asleep..) Start Server > Select Summit > Begin! Loading Summit.. loading screen shows Tram again.
If this is a bug, I'm glad I was able to help you guys out. :D
- my FPS is capped at 60 ingame, as well. it's not vsync, my monitor is 120hz, and I tested the maptest build and my FPS acts normally. restarting my computer fixed the issue, but I changed my game from windowed fullscreen to fullscreen and it's capped at 60 again...? GTX 560. edit: any time I change my res, or change my fullscreen / windowed (borderless), my FPS gets re-capped to 60. edit2: looks like even alt-tabbing will cap my FPS. I'm in fullscreen, it probably doesn't do it if you're playing windowed borderless, though. probably anything that causes the game to do a vid_restart causes this issue. I noticed that texture files don't update if you're running windowed borderless, either, so this makes sense. looks like the menu cap is somehow carrying over. I have to restart my computer to fix the issue.
- bunnyhopping around the map as a skulk rubberbands really badly as well, I get pulled back in mid-air about every other jump.
- new bite cone?
- new artstyle for alien icons looks amazing, the marine ones are pretty ungood.

Something seems pretty off with hit-reg. It was iffy in 224 as well, I can't tell if it's gotten worse. But there is definitely something wrong about it, shots just don't register like they should.
