Inquiries on downloading

Hello!

I recently pre ordered NS2 about an hour or so ago. I have 2 questions,

1- How do I know I pre ordered it? |(I don't trust my bank right now, Just got a new account)

2- Is this an actual game? Or do I need HalfLife 2 or some other game in order to play NS2? (Reason being, is I saw NS1 needed Half Life, and I can't google this becuase the game is still fairly new, my friends said I just needed NS2 and I can play?)

1. It should be listed under Steam for your account, assuming you pre-ordered via Steam?
2. The game is all you need, it has nothing at all to do with HL2.

1-You should have an email and it should show up on Steam
