Atleast change it so it doesnt 1 hit kill eggs or players when they're spawning. How you supposed to defend a hive when theres no eggs except for at the hive on the other side of the map. Aliens cant beacon of phase.

drastically reduce player damage or something
you can walk around spamming nades like an autistic gorilla and kill everything you want
to some degree i like that, ppl should just target the nade launcher guy, but the spamming is OUT OF CONTROL with player killing.
aoe damage should spread amoungst all targets hit, %of damage absorbed for how close you are to said gernade. and it actualy makes sense given shrapnel of one grenade cant instantly kill 50 different things at once. maybe 5 or 6 of them, whoever was closest, but only injure the rest. :/
Something like an exaggerated muzzle flash, a drastically different color on the GL compared to normal marine color schemes, or a larger third person model would be a big help. Rushing a GL player is not too hard if you can tell him apart.
Hell its just annoying to spawn and die instantly, when the commander has researched carapace.
Also fixing whips would do the rest. When whips were good at whacking nades back you always felt like you needed a whip or two @ both hives in case of gl's. Now you just skip 'em because they're no good anyhow.

Then Whips could regain their licenses to return grenades to their senders.

That could help balance Grenade damage, as well as the Whip problem simultaneously. On an seperate note, Grenade player damage and splash radius are rather too high.
Would just be frustrating from lack of consistency
im a marine, your a skulk with carapace, you come at me, as your trying to bite, i turn around and shoot my nade at you, what happens is when the nade hits your body it instantly explodes, you die and i walk away alive even tho you exploded right beside me...
how does that make you feel? well for me i get pissed off cause that happened to me a number of times.. nade damage does reduced damage to the person launching the grenades like wtf
