Vortex Hive Teleportation

<div class="IPBDescription">Replacing Vortex</div>I have had this idea for a while but havn't proposed it for some reason.

Essentially I think it should be made so that Vortex sends Marines/Exos/Khara back to a hive that has been designated as the "Vortex Hive " by the Alien Commander and thus can be used for quickly sending units to defend the hive or a way of picking off marines by teleporting them into a trap.

So how would this work?

It would work by the Fade going upto a Marine/Another Alien and casting Vortex on him as he does now, however, instead of that marine/alien becoming temporarily invincible he would either temporarily/permenantly be teleported back to the hive of choice by the alien comm.
This could be used on fleeing onos, onos on full health to save the hive, gorges to heal the hive OR a riskier alternatives.

Because this would also work on marines the fade could send Exo's back to the hive so that they can be killed by waiting onos/skulks ready to kill them, ofcourse this would be risky due to the nature of sending an exo into the heart of your hive but thats all part of the fun.

I propose that Observatories block this ability within a certain range and that a Fade can never Vortex himself back to the hive.

    Teleporting marines into a hive? I'm sorry but that sounds like a terrible idea, lol.

    Would also be horribly griefable among aliens.

    Hmm, wouldn't this be better to have it work as a temporary Phasegate. But introduce the old NS1 +use on it and only have it work for aliens. Would be a weird ability in any case as it's not used for combat/engagements... Also, I don't wannah teleport a bunch of marines to their main objective, that would be considered treason and punishable by a dishonarable discharge from the alien collective :P

    Would be better to be able to teleport marines back to their base instead of your hive. It would be useful if marines are pushing heavily into an area/hive of yours and you could send them back to their base to slim down their numbers.
    E.G. Marines pushing into hive with an exo and a few marines who are probably welding him. Go up and teleport the exo back to his base and wipe out the remaining marines with ease. That will give you time before that exo can walk back to your hive again.

    This is why the ability should be given to the Khammander. It makes no sense to give it to a Fade

    Well I was under the assumption most of you would guess that the "location" chosen for vortex to jump marines to would obviously be surrounded by 10 whips... It would be a 3rd hive ability after all and thus the team should have an abundance of Tres.

    I think it sounds like a half decent idea, send fade in...drop vortex and suck in a marine or two...who end up back at set location (when you first spawn as fade you set the "dump" place perhaps by clicking on map)...nasty little trap for a marine.
    More useful than sending them back to their base (where they can just phase back again)....could be used offensively as part of a final base push (even if you just vortex some marines into the next room).
