NS2 approach to L4D
THE PROBLEM
(egglocking: Marines shooting eggs down = Aliens can't spawn.)

-The problem seems to stem from the fact that the current system has eggs pre-built by the Hive.
-In addition, even when given an egg to spawn from, there's still a waiting time (aka. enough time to be shot down.)

THE IDEA
If anyone has played L4D Versus mode, the Special Infected get to roam the map (in first person spectator mode) where to spawn [as long as the enemy Survivor team can't see them.]

THE SOLUTION
1.) Have players choose WHERE to spawn, in a first-person "ethereal-Fade-like" mode within range of the Hive.
2.) The current wave-spawning queue can still work.
3.) If players do not "confirm" a spot to spawn from before the wave-queue reaches 0, they cannot spawn until the next wave. (Still a bit unsure about waiting that long or how the current wave-timings work)
4.) Once a spawn location is confirmed, the egg is THEN created (when the wave-queue reaches 0.)

>This is different from people asking about choosing eggs [that are PRE-BUILT.]

>This is about choosing an Egg location within the Hive that is:

1.) Not pre-built by Hive, and is not exposed to be shot down ahead of time.

If this approach cannot be done, I'd recommend only having eggs spawn once the wave-time reaches 0.
