Recent problems in build 226-7 seem to be UI related

Teal Checkered background
So ever since "Official Launch" rolled out. Many many people have been getting fatal crashes, precaching crashes.. (this Precaching thing your looking into is not just related to precaching but the loading and storing of textures into memory I think...

I noticed this when I would finally get into the game. My UI was weird.. It precached everything but ui bits were missing.. First time you open your map the names of the rooms are there, but the map the dots, everything else isnt.

Many UI elements have a background of a light teal and dark teal checkerboard. (like in Photoshop when your dealing with an invisible background. So my guess is something in the code got changed to SHOW the background on different ui elements.

Then if you can get passed all the UI problems that ONLY have shown up in the last build or 2 in past day or so.

You join a great 100% server of 39 ping, and you get in and your getting the "You are having connection problems" icon on the left, and your ping goes up and down and up and down.

NS2 has fatally errored more times since official launch than it has in the entire beta process (there from beggining). Either a fatal error has occured, this randomly happens, during play, loading a map, who knows, but i've had it atleast 10 times in the past 8 hours, compared to 2 in the past 2 years)

If you can FINALLY get something stable going on, through stroke of luck its really great, glad i've been a supporter since early beta and glad to see this through.

Also a final note, decouple your debugger or something with your main game, use dumptruck or something. I say this because numerous times after NS2 has crashed, I go to try to bring up the screen for the debugger to submit, and the NS2 window just wont move to background. So i have to kill the NS2 exe to get my desktop back, BUT that also kills the debugger and I cant submit my log.
