<div class="IPBDescription">When Player Joins the Server</div>I wonder if there is a mod doing so or is it editable in the stock server files? Sorry for being noobish this is the very first dedicated server I could ever afford. I googled and there is just no obvious solution

It will display a connecting users IP, Steam ID, and name (if successful) in both the server console window and server log (log located at %AppData%/Roaming/Natural Selection 2/log.txt).

Or if you are referring to a Message Of The Day (MOTD), a message that appears to the <b>player</b> when he joins the server, then you will need a <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=122293" target="_blank">mod</a> for that.

Unfortunately, as of now, all mods are still blacklisted by UWE so that will show your server under the modded list (players will have to uncheck the Filter Modded option, which is on by default, making new players unlikely to see your server)

yes, this is exactly what i am looking for. and thanks for the extra information. i am not aware of that.

Yeah come on UWE. We need a MOTD build into the game or them whitelisting some mods.
As most servers right now, mine gets filled pretty fast... But I tried using the ns2stats plugin/mod to use their MOTD... No one ever joined. So I guess we'll have to do without a MOTD for now ;)
