As a Khamm/Comm that is.
Hi all you NS2 fanatics I have a question for y'all. When you are Khamm/Comm and you suddenly see that the end is nigh or you take a huge hit that can't be recovered what do you do. For example was playing on the map with cave and cavern and Had control of the left side of the map. However the Rines werent being kept underfoot and they obtained 4 exos and other base wrecking utilities and proceeded to smash through my Gap forward base and sweep my entire Crag hive from the map. I quit out at that point because lacking any advanced lifeforms and a third hive I knew we were down and out. So I come to you master beta players and just general better players to help me to find a way to fight off an impending doom of this nature. Any help will be welcomed and I promise to never again abandon my teammates because the going got tough!

I would say rush onos and give it to a smart player who won't waste it.

The main basic rules of the game are to deny the enemy resource nodes and techpoints:

If marines get two techpoints they are able to get EXO's and Jetpacks, deny them that at all cost. Once they do have this second techpoint you can try and destroy it to stop them from getting their end game gear.

The same holds true for aliens, they needs more Hives for their tech, so as marines priority number one is denying them the Hive expansions and work on their Harvesters to deny them resources.

All in all, this is easier said then done of course, but those are the basics.

A second thing you could potentially do, but requires more teamwork:

Marines get their upgrades from the Arms lab, take that out and they are back to basic weapons and armor upgrades (it scales as level 0-3)

Aliens get their upgrades from evolutions chambers, take those out and they lose that evolution.

Further more you can try and force a beacon as aliens, by counter attacking the marines' attack. Go to their main base and attack the observatory, this will more then likely trigger a beacon so your team get some breathing space to regroup at the point on the map the marines were attacking

Probably much more, but someone else can slap some info in here, I gottah go :P
