<div class="IPBDescription">HL.exe & the nvoglnt.dll crash</div> Occasionally during gameplay, Half-Life will crash on me. Windows XP reports it as a problem with nvoglnt.dll in the C:\Windows\System32 directory.
I looked up on the web about it and found plenty of info about it causing crashes (not with HL specifically) but not very much game related problems with it.
I did find that it was an openGL specific problem, so running in Direct3d would be fine I guess, except for the massive drop in frames (70->30). Don't even want to guess what'd it be like in combat.
I've played numerous other HL mods and it only happens with NS.
Anyway, system specs:
Athlon 900mhz
Asus A7V
Msi GF4 MX440 running DirectX 8.1
390MB sdram
SB Live
WinXP Pro
HL specs:
Latest patches etc
Running in OpenGL @ 800x600
