10 minutes ebfore i had a lamer in my game and he destroyed the whole game before we could realize it, ...

we was on a jolt.co.uk server and he (herr.pa) became commander, why, i dont know maybe a timeout of our current commander.
So first he started selling our whole buildings, ... then after he was kicked out the chair he started flaming around "need hmg and jumppack"
this had last 10 minutes but finaly he was gone or a admin came i dunno know but 2 of ours were gone to search one!

There have been many tales of woe about llama's ruining games, the eject commander is there for a reason, sometimes it's too late to do anything about it though.

maybe there should be some kind of constant, working with VAC. If your booted out of X CCs in a month your banned from all CCs for the next month on all servers. God that would make my day.

Yea, would be nice to see people who get repeaditly booted...not the loser boots from before but real team boots, get banned from commanding for an actual while so they can learn thier lesson. I'm still waiting for something on the kick commands...I hear Savage is going to let the commander boot problem players...time limit for it but...god that would be nice.

Hmmm... i´ve read in a suggestions thread that there should be a voting about who should become commander, and the commander would stay until he a) gets booted or b) you add an extra button for him he can click when getting tired of commanding, so another one can take his place.

However, I believe this would add some more issues, but it´s an idea (Not mine though, but it is one <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->)

about booting problem players. If that power is given solely to the commander, then what about problem commanders? I should think a compromise would be where the commander can start a vote to kick them out, and a smaller number of the marine team would be required to actually kick him out than normal admin-mod numbers.

I agrree, Gwahir. The last thing you want is a lamer commander booting all the marines for fun.

As well as voting to eject commanders you should be able to vote to kick players from the server (as you can in Tribes2).

There is a button for that. It's the logout button on the upper right corner. It lets the commander leave the chair. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

i haven't really seen anything that bad but there was one incident that annoyed me. Not necessarily lamers, but here you go anyway.

we were playing on ns_hera and i was the only gorge so i found a resource node and there was quite a lot of enemy activity. This made me decide to build an offence turret as i had just got 14 rp and getting the 22 would take quite a while and probably get me killed. So i thought defending myself would be the best bet first. As soon as i built the turret, however, 2 people decided to call me a "n00b" and shout down their mics for building an offense chamber and then they started discussing ways of kicking me over voice comm which makes u feel like a piece of poo stuck on someone's shoe. I left soon after that.

Oh well i'll only ever feel truely happy playing in my clan, which can be found at #ifbclan on gamesnet incidently.

bleh i av ad a few lamers once even a commander i was on 1hp at base and he wouldn't give me a medpack he would not give us anything he would just let us go out and die he said nothing did nothing but build aload of crap didn't give us weps we lost from the start
i also hate wen peeps destroy their on structures coz they cant take it wen they dont get to be a commander or somthin

Commander boot is a bad idea. Some a-hole gets commander and boots the whole team.

Democracy! Anyone can setup a vote and everyone can vote.

My sugestion to prevent lamers doing such damage on the gameplay is to add a button like "eject commander" and use it to eject a specific player, only one on your own team of course!
