<u>Menu</u>
<ul><li> Able to browse around in the menu (incl. watching the tutorials), play on another server while waiting for an open player slot, like you can do with Steam's server browser.</li><li> Make the menu have more features and interactive elements to it, such as friend list, chat channels and the competitive scene.</li></ul>

<u>Key Bindings</u>
<ul><li> Make it possible to bind to mouse wheel, in every FPS game I play I've always fancied jump on mwheel.</li><li> Alternative key to bind actions to a second key would be great aswell.</li><li> Able to bind last used inventory, so that you can easily swap between the two most used abilities or weapons (e.g. Shotgun and Welder).</li><li> Option to bind use of abilities, in order to just press one button to immediately use it. Additionally, possible to add several abilities on different keys for different classes in your config (e.g. bind mouse2 "gorge:healspray;fade:blink;skulk:jump;marine:jump;onos:stomp").</li><li> Add Rupture to assist tab to just point and click near a Cyst to pop it.</li></ul>

<u>Map Overview</u>
<ul><li> Option to enable player names, since it's not only the Commander who leads the team.</li><li> Outline units so it's easier to distinguish a clutter of aliens, and bigger units should always overlaps smaller ones.</li><li> Show waypoints and points of interest on the map that the Commander gives out.</li><li> While dead, make it possible to choose where you want to spawn, similar to Battlefield. Aswell as highlight Hives, Shifts and Portals.</li><li> Highlight missing links of Cysts on the map.</li></ul>

<u>Sensitivity</u>
<ul><li> Keep same 1:1 mouse movement in-game as in menus (e.g. evolution menu, Commander overview, Spectator mode etc.).</li><li> Option for different sensitivity settings for marines and aliens.</li></ul>

<ul><li> Show macro name (e.g. Pipeworks) on the energy field for each Phase gate.</li><li> Moving structures with Shift, you should additionally be able to just click on the structure itself to choose what you want to move.</li></ul>

<ul><li> A red signal on the map and perhaps an audio cue from the Drifter to tell you that it has spotted enemies passing by it.</li><li> Option to choose the MAC's behaviour, whether it shall be defensive and turn back to a safe point if attacked or be aggressive and ignore any attack that it might recieve.</li></ul>

    I hope it's okay to bump my thread after 6 days, in hope to spark any discussion in this thread.

    Side-note: My apology for making a list of suggestions, but I would've had to make 4 to 5 threads and I just can't be arsed to manage that many threads.
    If you guys made a "My Threads" and "My Posts" lists in the control panel, then I would have no problem having 6 or even 8 threads at the same time, but bookmarking everything when I already got so much bookmarked, just becomes more of a hassle for me.

    Seems like a good thread to post my suggestion. Individual keys for the attacks. I am tired of scrolling through my "main" attack. Why not just let me have bite on one button, para on another, and etc.

    I think the NS2 Menu is very boring and little effort was put into it (arguably for good reason, devs have bigger concerns). It would be better if it looked more like the DOTA 2 Menu, or something that just has more features and interactive elements to it.

    Definitely agree, both League of Legends and DOTA2 has a menu towards the social and competitive aspect of the game.

    If you're going to add something like this, then i suppose you should update it with feedback from replies on agreed suggestions

    For instance my suggestion was to include the ability to rebind the commanders hotkeys.

    this isn't a balance request but rather something that should be generally added.
    Could you add it to your list? I rather like the concept of having general suggestions in one place, but it's a bit of work to maintain, and you risk sometimes adding features that mess around with balance or crazy ideas.

    for example, I personally would like to see alien camouflage nerfed in some way, either possibly where you can't build a shift hive unless you have 2 or more hives, or change it's function to where you have to stay still in order to maintain it's effects, or maybe to make you move even slower while under it's effects.

    But that suggestion is a balance change, therefore i don't think it should be added, even if it was to be largely agreed upon.

    Edit: also i think welders should be used automatically when you have one and are constructing a building, right now you have to manually equip it, or it uses the default builder.

    Didn't see it, but easily could have missed it:


    Have separate key binding configurations load automatically for Alien or Marine. I like my leap/blink on mouse 2, but I'd prefer Pistol be on my mouse 2 as a marine.

    This was indeed to be only for general suggestions; I had already removed Gorge and Lerk suggestions, but forgot about the Ignite proposal.

    I completely agree that if you have a welder and press E to build or repair something, then the welder should be picked automatically.
