Port Forwarding...

I absolutely cannot get ANY port to correctly forward and I was wondering if anybody could shed some light on this. I read dynamic IPs can interfere with port forwarding so I changed to static..

I'm unsure of what protocol to use...so I stuck with TCP/UDP...

Here is an image of my router port forwarding configuration

I cannot find my server in the server browser, nor connect to it via console.

Thanks

Mind posting your router name and model?

You might also want to check if your modem or your computer is running a firewall that could be blocking your ports.

Typically, what I do with port forwarding issues is to remove as many potential roadblocks as possible (i.e. directly connect the computer to modem and shut down any antivirus or firewall programs). Then work backwards by slowing adding back in components till I find what's blocking the ports.

Looks like a netgear to me.

You stated that you cant see it in the browser, and cant connect by console. Are you on the same LAN as your server? If you are, you shouldn't need to port forward for YOU to be able to connect, so its an issue with your server. If its a remote network, then ignore this.

Try sending a ping to the server? If you do get a response, you should be able to connect. If you can't connect then something is wrong with the router.

    Is the server modded?

How would I tell if my modem as a firewall? Computer has no firewall atm

The computer I have is on the same LAN as the server..same computer actually, could this be the issue?

As far as pinging the server...this would be done by typing ping in the server console, correct? This does nothing...

    For server issue...

    <a href="http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/560/crope.png/" target="_blank"><img src="http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/6399/crope.png" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>

    Anything wrong there?

I'm considering just renting a server for a month...if people play on it..keep it, if not then stop renting
