MACs cap beatable

Just thought I'd point this out. I think the MAC limit is awesome but it's not working as intended. While not easy to abuse, you can go over the cap. If the cap is 10. you can build 9 MACs and then x factories and have all of the factories produce 1 MAC. Now your MAC count will be 9+x and more than the cap. It's not that easy to exploit but when it comes down to turtles when the comm has those extra macs it can be really annoying.
And yes I know, < BB. But it's difficult to get my team to bb when they'd rather go Onos and F^#$ ###### up.

I'm not saying it shouldn't be fixed, but I'm genuinely curious.
Either that or they didn't have a "check for other mac's in construction" line in their code... :p

Use bile bomb.
A single gorge can wreck a fleet of Macs.
Most RTS games allow you to build up to the cap and then have 1 waiting, ready to pop out if the number of units goes down. I would expect that as a commander.
However yeah, having the MAC occupy its part of the cap while in construction would also be a fix.
it's certainly not very helpful... loads of resources and 1-2 bilebombs will kill them all.

No its there because, along with difters, people would build dozens of them to kill players and end games. People would lag out and be unable to fight.

Edit: It was amusing at the time though not something you want in a retail game.

omg gief grenade launcher... or mines... or flamethrower :/
Drifter Rushes often happened long before Marines had an Advanced Armory because Drifters were so cheap to make.
Also, Mines wouldn't do anything.

How are drifters / MACs able to kill a player? Don't recall any sort of attack.
Thanks!
But this is not even a problem. If marine comm is building 40 robotics factories in order to crash server with MACs, well, I'd say something has gone seriously wrong even before the MACs spawn. :F
Thanks!<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
THEY HIT FOR 5 DAMAGE WITH A 0.6 ATTACK TIME, HOLY ###### IF YOU HAVE 15 THATS LIKE 120 DAMAGE PER SECOND, ITS OVERPOWERED AS ######!
