Voice Mode

how do you enable voice mode?
don't know if i will use it, but it would be fun to try.
i have a headset and everything should work, but i can't get the voice mode enabled.

    should be in your config menu somewhere, i think it's either under advanced controls or in the "customization" menu under multiplayer (where you change your name/spray). You just check the boxes to turn it on. Also the HL_voice utility in your sierra/half-life folder will help calabrate it (might turn it on for you too).

    then it's simply the job of assigning a key through the standerd key menu. the bind is +voicerecord if ou wanted to put it in a script.

    i have clicked that thingie, but it doesn't help.
    and i have calibrated it and i have a key for it, but i still don't have it enabled.
    caus there should be a speaker in the voice thingie in the scores when it's enabled, shouldn't it??

    supafly i made one grave mistake once i used my mic in all and thought it didn't work wen i setted it up but u see ur not supposed to hear urself in game i thought u were but only the other peeps can hear u not urself well from the speaker wise anyway but u can hear urself as in talking sense not in game sense thats one thing i thought that my mic didn't work or it was the comp but now i know now if this is ur problem then u av made this grave mistake i once did la la la la la di doo daaaa

    oh.. ok... good that i haven't tryied it in a real game yet then.. have only tryied it for myself in a Lan game.
    but shouldn't the speaker icon come up under voice in the score table?

    nope not under score...u will see a small speaker in the bottom right hand of screen whenever you push the button though...your best bet is to go into a server and ask if anyone can hear you...someone will eventually answer...

    He said it before i did u cant see ur OWN speaker thing on the table only others everytime u press the key as he says that voice thingy comes up just ask if people can hear u some people cant be arsed tho so keep asking

    ok.. so you do'nt see your own speaker icon.. hmm.. you should be able 2 i think..

    i agree wit u on the u should be able to see ur own thing aswel but thats just the way it goes but its not just in NS its in CS and everything it could just be half life itself that doesn't allow it
