<div class="IPBDescription">about base being attacked</div> When I play commander, everything goes smooth for a while, but the problems starts at the middle game. I would like to ask the pro comms out here, what to do when your base or mini base is being attacked, but you have your team across the map? Should I just ignore it and hope for the best, or send my team for rescue. It's really hard to keep attacking hive, if you have to look after your buildings somewhere else. And its also really hard to tell just how massive the attack is from command view. There might be 3 fades attacing my main base, or maybe just one skulk. When these attacks start happening in different places at the same time, I usually just loose my heading, and things start to go really badly. Soon I just ask if someone else wants to command...

Let Them. Ignoring attacks is a powerful tool.
You lose a resource node. They lose two aliens for ten minutes, while you take their second hive. Sounds like a deal to me.
Other than that, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Set up Phase Gates at or near every minibase. If none of your marines are near a PG at the time, don't worry, they build extremely quickly so it's feasible to have an assault group back off, build a PG and move through it to defend. The only thing you have to worry about then is aliens following them through the gates, but as most of your gates should be surrounded by turrets I don't think this is a big problem.
