Raiding Capabilities Marines vs Aliens

Although the Aliens on paper are the hit and run specialists it seems that Marine's can just about match them in this area.

Marines have phase gates which let them move to a particular spot in an instant which no Alien can do. They also have a beacon ability which means you go out there rush their base then quickly beacon back to counter their counter rush. They also have jet packs.

Aliens on the other hand can use the vents and they move faster but they have no teleport ability of there own. They do have Lerk and Fade but fade is 50 points and not available in most games till well into the game. Furthermore due to the structure of the game and tech tree a base rush is often much more profitable for more Marines then it is for Aliens. A hive 40 points a Command Chair costs just 15. Killing their hive means not just 40 points lost but also they have to spend another 15 upgrading it so that is 55 points lost. Killing an upgrade shell is worth 30 due to the upgrade being lost. Not to mention having to replace dead cysts all the time.

It appears when it comes to raiding the Marines do the best financially out of it as they do not lose any upgrades permanently if any of their buildings are destroyed. If both Marines and Aliens do a base rush at the same time ie swap bases which occurs a lot in this game the Marines stand to benefit the most.
