where can I find a good mapping tutorial for a total n00b of the universe. im starting to get some real interest in mapping

I´ve got a problem about worldcraft and the tutorial. everything is going fine but in the tutorial stands: "Your 3-d (camera) view should now look something like this:" and than there is a screenshot from a corner of the room, all fine with that, exept that all the textures are shown on the screene but its just lines and stuff in the 3d in my map. how can I see the textures in the 3d? I have followed the tutorial very carefully and slowly and everything should be right. even done it twice to that screenshot.

view= 3d textured, btw you use the WC with the tutor? That would be the one that came with the cd, download the newest version somewhere(sorry dunno link) it has a much better interface, but doesn't come with a basic tutor.

thats what I did, I downloaded from some site, first 3,3 but some stuff was missing, so I downloaded 2,1 or 2,2 (dont remeber) installed it and then 3,3 and it looked like how it was in the tutorial. also when im gona try the map (I hit F9, like it says in the tutor) there pops up some alarm: "Mod_LoadBrushModel: maps/tutor2.bsp has wrong version number (571084155 should be 30)"   whats that?

Ummm delete your worldcrat and install it again with JUST 3.3

What was missing from it? There shouldn't be ANYTHING missing - all the files you essensially need are in your HL installation and WC 3.3 installation.

ok Ive installed ONLY wc 3 and everything seems to work and everything is there I think. the stuff that was missing before was the toolbar and all that. but the tutorial is for wc 2,2. does that matter and if so where can I find tutorial for wc 3?

thx guys, I almost lost my interest in mapping, so if you had not helped me, I would probably be playing rocket crowbar the whole day.
