Access to all Alien upgrades for PRes

Imagine you could from the start of the game upgrade any upgrade. However, each of these cost say 5 PRes each. Then imagine as you get a shift hive or the spur chamber that those speed upgrades became 2 PRes each. Then imagine if you specialised a spur chamber to celerity or adrenaline that upgrade becomes 0 PRes for a minimum of 1 res per evolution like it currently is.

Then you could also have a re-evolve feature where you can change what upgrade you have mid-play (adren gorge to celerity and back again as required) for same costs or more.

Imagine how good for play it would be if you could for PRes get that regen or that adren you really want without forcing the team to drop the whole tech tree for you.

The problem with that is it would give a way for Alien players to make choices with their Pres beyond "Hm should I save for 15 minutes and get an onos or go lerk/gorge." :P

So... 4 min Carapace Celerity Silenced Onos?

NS2 is an RTS/FPS hybrid, not an FPS/FPS hybrid. You don't just get everything at the start of the match; you've got to work towards some abilities at the expense of others. The Kham trees are one of the few strategic decisions left in NS2.
