Microphone setup options 'please' ..

I think it would be a good idea to suggest you to improve the Microphone setup in the game.
What I really miss is a 'Record and hear yourself' button in the options so that I know what my microphone sounds like in the game.

I am currently using a stand-alone microphone, Audio Technica AT2020.
When I use the microphone on the desktop it bearly catches any sound at all because it is turned down so low.
But in the game it sounds like I am screaming when other people talk and my voice is in their speakers ^^

The only thing we can change in the game is Voice volume and that does not tell me much with this microphone :/

The best would be if we could do a real time recording in the options so we know exactly how high the sound is so we can change the volume if we need to. Yes we can probably ask people in the game how the volume sounds but that should not be a part of the game.

If I change the volume on the desktop then that will change the ingame volume like crazy so it would have been very good to be able to fix that ingame instead of having to guess how we sound in some situations.

This may not be a dead serious problem but it would be really neat if this option found it's way in to the game..

If you right click on the Steam icon on your start menu and select Settings then the Voice tab you will have all that you're asking for.

Is that exactly the same sound that the ingame voice system are using?

Anyways, it could be neat to have that option ingame since we can bearly change anything there :)

Well they don't seem to actually use these settings.

I have two soundcards, one that have speakers hooked up to it and another with a headset I use for Mumble/TS.
I can set it up the same way in Steam, but NS does not recognize this and outputs the voice over my speakers instead of my headset.
