Graphics glitch?

Hey, i've just finished downloading/installing this game and after launching, i encounter this:

I've done some quick browsing and someone had mentioned that turning off anti-aliasing was a fix for some glitches, so i tried it, didn't work. my AA was already off so i turned it back on, then off again to see if that worked, still nothing. Semi frustrating as i don't see how there could be a problem straight from steam.

- also tried turning off steam overlay

help?

You need to turn off the AA in your catalyst or NVIDIA control center, I assume you tried disabling the one in the game. NS2 uses FXAA and that can't work with the forced settings in the control center, so they have to be set to application setting or something along those lines

awesome. that worked. i had my catalyst control AA set to 'off' but once i changed it to application controlled, it worked a charm. thanks for your prompt reply
