NS EVAC GAME PLAY WIP

Hello Boys and girls, Just to let you know me and 6 of my friends are working on a evacuation mode for NS2. As any creative soul will know making a game mode isnt easy. We are hoping to release it within next year sometime. Ok still reading? awesome that means you like the sound of it. Ok the rules of the LUA once my uni Friend Paul Stopford (Game name) Black Tiger start to code will be. Aliens must Stop/bite/eat/ Marines from evacuating. Marines must get at least 1/4 of there team from the map (evaced).

All marines have 2 lifes(spawns) each round, the aliens spawn as many times as they like with the exception of evolution as this will have to be fair on the marines.

# "Marines"

*Guns will be spread across the map but limited. Ammo will be laying around places too and respawn every 3 minutes.
*When game starts marines will spawn random as 1 of 4 class of marines. Scout, rifleman, Engineer, Medic
* Scout will have a motion Tracker, it just makes a beep sound if aliens are withing 25meters, only works when equipt doesnt show like
observatory. Will also Have Rifle, knife and pistol.
* RifleMan will have 3 hand grenades, Rifle, pistol and knife
* Engineer will have Welder, pistol and Rifle but no knife. ( He will weld vents closed, heal armor. Also can build 1 turrent a round )
* Medic will have heal tool only can heal uptop 400hp a round, rifle pistol and knife.

*Marines can find structures around the map unbuilt ( if aliens having eaten them ) such as turrets etc
*Stamina Bar to stop them marines from escaping too easy.
*couching speed reduced so although onos cant fit in vents it will take them longer to get to the other side.
*Tourch will be marines best friend most the maps we are working on are very dark, Some light areas but mostly dark.
*1 Mech suit on each map, Makes a good distraction ;)
*Marines best hope to survive is to stay together.

# " Aliens

* 1 team members can be onos although you cant go in vents :( * Same but kill marines 1 hit
* 3 team members can be fades * Same but more invisable
* 4 team member can be lurks * Can fly around and fart as always but can also poison the marines for 10 sec ofter they smell gas.
* 2 team member gorge * can build 7 spike walls etc
* 6 Skulks * Bite is stronger and 100hp and same armor

If you have any ideas please post also id you have intrest in helping please post for me. No screens yet untill next month we are hoping to be able to show something but with uni work and also familys to be with its not going to be super fast moving but we will get there ;)

    Try to contact the number crunching nerds here for help with balance. New gamemodes are very hard for a game like NS2 because of the drastically different abilities/game mechanics of each team.

    hi, why not vary with the weapons? everyone rifle is a bit boring in my opinion. mankind has found so many ways in killing stuff.

    i think about
    scout: scout rifle (lower mag capacity; more dmg? ; aimpoint)
    rifleman: rifle
    engineer: shotgun
    medic: some sort of electric gun or a weak lowrange version of flamethrower (or bio weapon poison/gas)

    in general i like the idea, i'd also participate but i'm still noobmapper.
    please tell me how it is going with the different classes for marines, i'd like to know that 'cause i also thought of a mod making with friends
