Hi NS2 community! My nick is FoX and I am from Sweden. As many others I am a new guy around here. I have however played competitive FPS for about 4-5 years, I have been in strong/top end teams in L4D, BFBC2 and most recently in BF3. So I am not a stranger to team focused FPS, which is the reason why NS2 caught my interest in the first place.
I am looking for a decent/good/ambitious English or Swedish speaking team, not NA. Cannot be bothered to play matches between 01:00-05:00. Been there, done that, not again! ^^ If your clan have "we play for fun" in it´s description you are probably not looking for me. I like fun, just that improving, analyzing tactics, learning good team play, winning = fun. Switching around players all the time, having 30% of your team highly motivated and 70% not so much, no practice, keep losing due to simple mistakes
= less fun.
If anyone is familiar with BF3 stats I had 3.2 K/D and about 980 SPM with "unmodified" stats but it was in reality a bit higher as my monthly average when I trained was around ~4.5 k/d with ~1400 SPM (takes a long time to compensate for early bad games). My win/lose ratio in public was 2.25 so about 70%, which was mainly played on 16-32 player servers.
So back to NS2 ^^ I have not played that much NS2 yet, about 45 hours, but I am improving fairly rapidly. I am strong with Marine, jetpack + shotgun = me happy :) About alien play does it go pretty well now, my skulk play was ###### at first. I think my skulk play has now progressed to at least decent level now. My preferred class and probably the best is the lurk which I enjoy and have played most.
Gorge I have not played much, I use it to heal Onos but I have never done the walling/hydra/whip thing. About Onos I guess I am “good†with it, but it seems to me that Onos is kind of easy for most people to play unless I missed something. Fade I like to play but it seems risky so I am bit hesitant about it as of late. One perfect shotgun hit, Baam! = I just lost 50 resources. Onos just seems a safer bet in most cases, at least in public.
I have not been playing commander much, although I learn more and more "what is needed at time point x" from the soldier perspective. I have been thinking about playing commander, as I believe I am pretty good at analyzing, but on the other hand am I kind of ###### when it comes to multitasking, so I figured someone else will probably do a better job.
