MAC retrieving weapons, structure upgrades, alt fire for mines

I like MACs a lot, but I feel like they still don't do enough for the marines in game for most commanders to spend the 20 res to get one or 30 res for 3
If MACs could walk up to dropped weapons and warp them away <i>(essentially giving the pres back to the marine who dropped it last)</i> you'd see more commanders sending them into skirmishes
Even MACs physically picking up the gun and attempt to run it back to friendly lines could be enough for some people

I think Marines need more upgrades. . . Armor upgrade for structures / ARCs and weapons upgrades for structures / ARCs
I'd even be willing to accept a 1 time upgrade for the axe if the standard weapons upgrade doesn't effect it currently
This way players won't need to feel like the commander is wasting on the res trying to spam sentries or arcs when they could genuinely be devastating in late game if you take the time to improve them

Right now if you are still carrying mines when you enter enemy territory you just look like a moron

Sentries do need something to make them worthwhile, but I'd rather see that as removing the need for a battery and tying them to the room's power.
And I completely disagree with upgrades for buildings and ARCs. ARCs are fine if properly escorted, and the changes to their fire rate means they can easily knock out a hive with several crags on it.
As far as mine secondary fires... bring back the laser trip mines! As somebody who plays Lerk a lot, Lerks don't fear mines enough!
A 5 res upgrade for mines that adds lasers then?
Or just making mines automatically laser mines?
I'd also like to see sentries be useful late game but the only way to balance that is to have additional upgrades for them
Because you have to build them in a small circle they always get creamed by bilebomb
1. Mobile repair units for exos and arcs and marine armor
2. Build structures automatically in base
3. Repair structures automatically at location
4. Fires an EMP charge when aliens are nearby to drain stamina
The alien drone all it does is fly around cloaked.
