Possible onos rush solution

<div class="IPBDescription">tie egg Tres cost to hive count</div>Okay so before khammander dropped onos eggs got relegated to 3 hives there was the issue of the six minute onos, which was the dominate strategy and generally considered a bit too good. So they made tres onos require three hives, but that makes comebacks much harder if stuck on 2 hives, as well as significantly limiting what the khammander can do for the team and removing an opening strategy altogether.

So as a compromise I had the thought to tie egg cost to hive count. Essentially the more hives you have the less expensive it is. So you could still drop onos eggs at 2 hives, but it would cost more Tres than at 3 hives. Bringing this to its fullest you could even have 1 hive onos eggs, but have them be prohibitively expensive.

While actual numbers would be up for balance (and could be radicaly different for each lifeform) I would suggest for a starting point that each hive less than the standard amount for that lifeform creates a multiplicative 50% cost increase, while each hive less is a 10% discount (which would also give a reason to have a 4th hive).

So at 1/2/3/4 hives onos would cost 225%/150%/100%/90% of its current price, fades 150%/100%/90%/81%, and gorges and lerks 100%/90%/81%73%.

Marine commanders could have a similar deal with weapon/jetpack/exo drops. (and give a reason for a 3rd or 4th comm chair beyond simple redundancy)

As a reminder this is only for commander dropped eggs/equipment, Pres costs would not be altered

As I was just in a winning game from taking over Khamm at midway... with 1 hive. and marines having 3 CCs. with 3 exo's and 2 welding support units.

    I lol at this thread.

Learn different tactics. Don't rely on tres onos.
3 Gorges and a Lerk destroyed those Exo's!
