    That's the entire point of carapace; if it didn't reduce the skulks chance of being instagibbed (and making other life forms more survivable) then there would be no reason for it to exist.

    Only valid point here is that mines dont scale with late-game

    but then theres been heaps of arguments on skulks not scaling to end-game either

    good placed mines are free kills and 3 free kill for 15res... sounds a good deal to me ;)

    Allowing MACs to place a limited number of mines would be interesting as well, give the commander a few options to do more than watch resources collect and buy upgrades.
