Ammo

Fire away!
I was going to work on NS weapons for Shadowrun, when I realized something. Will the LMG and HMG use the same rounds or different ones? What about rounds in clip? Can I get a belt for a HMG?

I have a similar question for aliens. Will aliens have to buy ammo also, regen it, or don't need it? Since the aliens use biological weapons, any of the three choices could work. So how's the ammo for the game?

    I have no idea if it'll stay this way or not, but right now, ammo is all purpose ammo for the marines (it gets put in whatever weapon you are currently holding). This may just be for playtesting purposes for all I know. Those aliens that have ranged attacks seemed to either regenerate their ammo or just had unlimited 'ammo' but a slow rate of fire. Melee attacks are unlimited, of course.

    mmmmm... Shadowrun... Hida, if you ever get your conversion finished please run a PBeM (play by email) and include me.
    I am currently running an old school D&D PBeM so could give you some tips.
    Playing NS as a roleplaying game would be wicked!

    I might try PBeM sometime. Right now, I'm working on a possible NS Shadowrun. After I get the info, I'll post up the stuff. Heck Bob in D&D! Time for XP!

    Shadowrun is a table top roleplaying game (you know the ones before the electronic ones?). It's basically a cyberpunk/magic mix genre. It does a good job at it. They made it mix quite well. I tend to play it at my house where I'm GM. PBeM is the way one could play it by e-mailing, it's decended from PBM.

    If you're doing it by e-mail, include me. But I know nothing about Shadowrun, so you'll have to help enlighten me about how to create a character and all that crap.

    I can see it now

    * five salivating bob's sickel-like arms swinging in a dance of death run toward the "Marine" characters *
    ==Team Mage "I cast a level 8 HellBlast" *Roll* reults make 5 ToastyBobs==

    sounds interesting to me

    You know, that idea actually rocks.

    I love SR (am currently GMing a session) and after looking through the sourcebook it shouldn't be too much of a problem to adjust the rules. Heck, even the alien powers could be treated as natural magic.

    If you decide to take this in the net, count me in!
