why not sell? As a marine I find it massively boring to play out an already lost game (70% of games) Aliens can't really end it before onos and 20 ppl waiting for one guy to finally get 75 res to get it over with...

The game does not allow the commander to sell the first one or two infantry portals built, the 1st armory and maybe 1st few extractors if they were never taken down. It's not the perfect solution, I don't think there is one, but it will help.

Just saying if the majority of the team is bored comm should sell. I'd strongly agree to introduce a vote system to end games.

I lose the chance for me or someone else else to take over and win or lose, no matter. One jag-off should not tank the whole game because of his own personal impatience or loser attitude. *shrugs* Good commanders will always ask the team whether or not to recycle. I respond with trying an all-in push and recycle if it fails. Just had a game where we took down Cargo Hive thanks to ninja pg, but sadly alien team was too strong and we could not capitalize. One recycle later and on to the next round. We could have turtled for several more minutes easy, but what's the point when aliens are rocking Onos and we're down to 1 RT?
Here's a fun fact for you kind sir. No one is stopping you from playing commander from the start and calling the shots. If the current Comm wants to recycle and you disagree, well it only takes TWO votes to eject so surely you can find someone who shares your sentiment?
Commander knows best, so I don't know why he shouldn't be allowed to sell. The RTS side of things isn't rocket science, it's very easy to tell when a game is more or less entirely lost for both sides. They really should make 1 hive gameplay more forgiving for aliens and better allow marines to stay into the game when they're falling behind (possibly by hitting alien tech costs) Until such a time however, F4 and base selling is your best bet to 'go next' instead of wasting time losing.

Two votes to vote a commander out? i am not following you here. I have never seen game-driven voting of any kind?
As far as me being a commander, I'd like to do it more. I have tried it only twice and I stopped quickly because I don't want to ruin everybody's game by sucking so bad at it.

Commander knows best? Come on. You act like he goes to college for it. He's a dude just you and me. And from what I have seen, usually one who is more impatience and a bigger quitter than me. Granted he proably knows the game better than me because I am new to it, but can he prove he knows better than the 10 other people on the team? NO.

The team may brake down and F4, it's a matter of moral, and when its happen, so be it.
But selling a base is making an unilateral decision for everyone.
Only solution so far as in NS1 : admin server and ban sellers.
DO NOT SELL BASE !!!!!
