Odd Graphics Issue

Is it just me?
Anyone else having an odd graphics bug that causes the HUD elements to display as blue and black squares, like there's a missing texture? I would suspect an overheated GPU, but nothing except the HUD ever bugs out. It's only the command interface, and occasionally pop up information boxes when you point at a friendly. I have screen shots of it, but I can only link steam screen shots apparently.

Anyone see this before?

Thanks, good to know for a fact that my card isn't burning itself to death in protest.

I am having that issue right now as well. Played the game for more than 230h without any errors and suddenly the blue checkerboxes start appearing instead of textures.

It says that I am running out of video memory in the console as you can see, but I dont know how to fix this. I can play other games just fine and this started just today. Here are my dxdiag results http://pastebin.com/GyK8Uk81

Edit: sorry for posting in the wrong thread

@GrueneMedizin - (Out of video memory) - What kind of gfx card do you have? How much ram does it have? Do you have "Texture quality" in ns2 options set to minimal? How much of main RAM memory? Check if others process in your windows doesn't eat memory.

    "Intel® HD Graphics Family"
Thats not a graphics card.. that's integrated graphics isn't supported / meeting the minimum requirements to play.
    :-(

It's kind of impressive you can even load NS2 on that "thing" :-D. Intel has recently shown off some "not totally terrible" graphics solutions at trade shows, but as of now, buy a dedicated card.

If it's a laptop, unfortunately you have to get a new laptop if you want to play NS2...
