***DISCLAIMER: I'm not a modder, coder, or anything else useful. I'm interested in trying to learn enough to make this idea happen, but if you know what you're doing and want to help/take over, please do.***
I've been thinking about a new game mode kind of similar to the VIP mode in older games.
4 marines + 1 exo vs 5 aliens
Marine goal is to escort the exo around the map using tech points as check points
Alien goal is to kill the exo
Marines have a 10 second spawn timer that starts when they die
Aliens spawn in waves every 10 seconds, with 2 seconds being added to the wave timer for every dead alien (so if marines kill the whole alien team, wave timer gets an additional 10 seconds on top of whatever is currently left in it with the max respawn timer being 20 seconds, although that is fairly unlikely to happen)
Marines buy upgrades/weapons from a menu similar to the current alien B menu
Aliens will buy upgrades from their spawn
Marines will acquire resources over time while alive + get RFK
Aliens get RFK only
Rules will obviously need testing and have to be tweaked.
The maps/circuits would look something like this, with the marines starting in a static spot and the alien start randomly at one of the tech points.

Red and green arrows both denote direction of marine travel, the color difference is just to make things less confusing looking in the summit reception area.
How hard would something like this be to implement, and would anyone even be interested in playing it? I'm willing to learn and work on this in my spare time if there's interest, but mostly i'm just trying to get the idea out there so someone who knows what they're doing can make it happen.
