I just brought another two copies to give away. That puts me to about 10 copies total purchased. Love this game, I like supporting UWE. I keep just randomly giving this to my friends. :-)

$3,000+ machines that can't run this game? Wtf? Those better be really old or you all got ripped off.

Accidentally I stumbled over NS2 a few days ago on youtube. I thought it looked nice, remembered the original mod and immediatly bought the Deluxe-Version (what can I say, I love soundtracks).
And when I saw the 60% off, I wasn't mad or even angry that I paid more. NS2 is a great game, I love it. It's the only one besides The Walking Dead, that I am actually happy I have bought this year. And although I am basically broke now, I bought two copies for some good friends. I am probably going to buy a few more copies if I find the money. Just in case :-D
So thank you for this amazing deal! That way I can share this great game with others!

Was wondering, I already own the game, I was hoping to purchase the 4 pack as Christmas gifts for friends. However steam states "a copy for yourself and three copies to send to your friends". As I already own it would 4 be available to send?

No, sorry. I just bought the copies anyway. But you could have one of your friends buy it, make him send you the 3 additional copies and give him the money.
I just tried to proceed to checkout but it wouldn't let me. Shame, would of made some great Christmas gifts, seems like a lot of hassle to work around.

What I posted is not really a workaround for a "problem". You save money buying such packs and that is the whole idea. That is the reason you might buy them actually. In the case of NS2 you pay for 3 copies and get one for free.
It would be stupid of steam to allow people getting 4 giftable games they could sell themself for a lower price per copy than steam does. That way nobody would buy the single copies anymore. On the other hand they would create a permanent discount, making the game worth less.

So it shouldn't be on sale because of those random few guys that happen to having drivers that somehow doesn't work with the game, cuz if you spent $3000 on HW and still can't run this game, HW isn't the issue. My ###### old i5 750 can run this game right now at 60 fps steadily, don't kid yourself that the HW req is that high. Also, the average steam users CPU GHZ is within spec requirement to run this game at least 30 fps. (That does not mean on maximum gfx)
That feel when you realize how the vets felt every time greens cost them the game. I can't help but laugh because I use to screw things up too. Oh well they'll learn in time. I hope.

1) I never said it shouldn't be on sale. sales are incredible, and this is obviously an excellent time to have a sale.
2) anecdotal evidence doesn't really support your point, because I have an i7-950 / GTX 560 that dips below 30FPS. my hardware totals around $2000, but there are plenty of users with higher end machines and lower end performance. basically, it's not stable.
3) 30 FPS is not "playable" by any stretch of the imagination
4) the listed minimum requirements are flat-out wrong, so where does that leave the average Steam user?

Most people that are serious about gaming expect a 60fps minimum standard. Anything below that and it starts to affect player performance. 30 is "playable" if you want to goof around and have fun, but for competitive play a lot of people would consider that unacceptable.
