THANK YOU!
Can't wait to try it out.
This was in 234 also!
Was there in B234
Must be on a different spot. Just found this now.
Servers usually patch up pretty quickly, just gotta be patient for a couple of minutes or an hour max. But awesome to see there is an steam sale xD
There is all this focus around mod-ability of ns2, but then you require ppl to use software like 3ds max? (not that its impossible to get access to this ~4000€ piece of software - you can go trough an annoying register process on the website to get a trial version for example)
Why dont you use formats that work well with software like blender?
(at least that little bit of googling i did said it wasnt possible to import .max files into blender)
what you did there, i see it

We don't require people to use 3D Studio MAX. We are working on making our tool chain support COLLADA files exported by any 3D content creation package. There are still some bugs but we've made some good improvements there in recent patches.
These files however are the original files that our artists authored. If we provided them in a standardized format that Blender could read (i.e. COLLADA), they would lose some information in the export process and wouldn't be as editable. Since our engine reads COLLADA files and not MAX files, we have all these assets exported as COLLADA, so we may choose to include these in the future.
Pretty much everyone knew about it, I found it about 10 minutes after the last patch and proceeded to show an entire server how to go lerk, fly to spectators and kill them. Or go gorge and spit down the command chair.

And when did you guys sneak in first person spectator? A little glitchy, but it works!

Sounds like you were playing on a modded server, 1st person spec is not in yet.
It's just too much fun! sometimes games just do not start because there are 10 people sitting in the RR and having a snowballwar.
Well, but that's a clever way to deliver the demand of an extended pregame =D
Fun fact, on a tall RR, you can throw a snowball straight up and have it bounce off your face.... or throw two and watch them collide mid air.

Have them fall all the way down and they will bounce of your head as well :P
*cough* Bilebomb *cough*
Was so painful.. lol
