Nope. If you notice a small yellowish texture on your gun/arms that means you've been parasited by a skulk. I believe the parasite lasts 30 seconds, and nearby skulks can see you through walls when parasited.
Used to be that way, but pretty sure its changed now (heard that it makes infestation on minimap show different color or something like that though). The alien commander can see marines on infestation as black faint spots moving around, so if he looks at the same room, odds are that he sees you and tells his team.
One thing you should be aware of: The flashlight is great for you, but it creates a bloom-like effect that actually hinders your teammates vision. If there's a group of marines and 3 or 4 people have their flashlight on, it makes see things much harder. I wouldn't recommend always having it on.
I use the flashlight to check common ambush spots, like corners (bottom and top) and the ceiling when I enter a room. Once I know an area is okay, I usually turn it off.
Generally i would keep your flashlight off whenever possible. It can really give away your presence to observant aliens, as it can not only indicate that you are in the room but also what direction you are looking in, at times when the alien wouldn't have known otherwise.
I think the alien commander also can see lights, even without actually having stuff there. This means he can tell when an area is powered or not, and that flashlights are always visible to him. This might have changed though, havent played much alien comm in a long time, and I doubt it was intended.

Also, I think the flashlight might show through walls if they have shadows turned off in their graphics options. Only if the wall is thin.
I almost never have the flashlight on unless attacking a dark hive. As alien you should almost always have the alien vision (F) on.
Can't fully agree.Having the alien vision on will disable the hive sight, that means you can't see the enemies tagged by your teamates or parasites.

Alien vision is very personal preference. I personally think it gives me an advantage in combat, because it clearly outlines the marine I'm fighting. If you don't like it don't use it, but for me and most other competitive players it's a necessity.
