    New Years Aftermath much?

Decent suggestion though. I agree (on the sex part).

I'm a big fan of this idea as well.

In Savage 2, before the map started, people would mark down that they wanted to be commander, then a few seconds later a list would come up and people would vote on who they wanted the commander to be at the start of the game.

Tactical Gamer server offers this idea. It's pretty neat.

Moreover, it doesn't allow anyone to specifically join a team, you have to choose random.

It also removes any scoreboard from being seen in the ready-room.

Why should one put everyone's game and fun at risk because they don't know the game yet?

My recommendation would be to FIRST familiarize oneself with the Commander interface offline/lan/locked server with cheats enabled.

Start a map via console by typing
    map ns2_summit
    and so forth.

    Then cheats 1

    Then pres 100, tres 100.

    Rinse and repeat.

There's also a console command that automatically builds dropped structures:

    autobuild

And another which unlocks all technology:

    alltech

Once familiarized, then I'm all for commanding a real game.
