I don';t like joining servers only to see that they're 25 minutes in. I'd like to join them when they;re no more than a few minutes in. I think when you search for servers it should tell you how many minutes have elapsed since the start of the round.

Why not? Joining a round 35 minutes in is sort of pointless if it goes for another 15 minutes. It doesn't feel like a win I contributed too.
The thing is that you still have no way of telling what the status of that match is other than the time. It could be over in the next second or it could drag on for half another hour. And if it's about to end, you don't know if the server will switch maps instantly or if you can join now and play a fresh round on that map again.
this is a good idea a time elapsed in the current round and a marines/aliens amount of buildings built so you sort of know whos in the lead or is losing of course people might join a server where marines are winning or the aliens are winning so its iffy to implement it so probably just a time elapsed in a round
