crosshairs and you

<div class="IPBDescription">what's your favorite crosshair to use?</div>On first install, i knew something was off... but couldn't quite put my finger on it. Then it hit me, watching a wall-jumping tutorial. I despise the default cursor. I think it's actually ruined my aim, not no difference, not 'meh' feeling towards it, i'm convinced that the design decision to make that your default cursor was a deliberate debuff to the marines.

i've been going single white dot from that steam-works thing. which very closely reflect my old q3 crosshair, a single bright green dot, and my wolf:et cursor, a single red dot, and my tf2 crosshair, a single magenta dot. i found out you can still put out decent damage at middling to long ranges with the shotgun, and full damage on a pretty far target, if said target is the size of an onos.

anyway, anyone prefer something else? and anyone notice improvement in accuracy over default? especially in regards to the shotgun.

Me and a bunch of other people simply made our own crosshairs, NS2 Steam Workshop is full of them. So I guess you can say, if there is a market for that stuff the default ones are indeed doing something wrong :P

For NS2 I use default.. I really like the pistol's especially, with the semi circle to kind of "cup" your enemies.

But I usually use a dot.. my CS:GO crosshair is especially cheap.. because servers don't restrict the use of the crosshair commands..

(its dynamic, too.. so it goes smaller.. usually to just a really small dot/+)

    I use Kouji's.

I like his because they are large enough to utilize Hitreg, but small enough not to block out an entire Skulk from view in the middle of your screen.

I use glissy's, because I like to pretend I'm actually as good as glissy and bitey to use them.

I don't know which one it is, but I started using the white dot one off the steam workshop. It feels better, I don't know if it makes my aim any better though.

I like the style of the default cross hair. it matches the HUD.

yeah, but when style trumps functionality. for me it's always been about, overlap dot with center of mass, or head. here, it was oh, here's the shotspread, we'll give them more information, and make it stylish... but the best course of action is still to overlap the undelineated dot with center of mass.

Gotta go with the classic Counter-Strike crosshair.

I remember doing this for snipers back when I had a CRT monitor.

would fine tune them if I played in anything more than public servers.

Green crosshair. Seems to work well for me since I had the same in Wolfenstein: ET for years.
