as a strategy game
Obs may not seem important or useful enough if you think ns2 is just a fps game.
But it's actually not. And i find it really unacceptable to have such a cheap scouter for this kind of game. It's almost like a map hack. Skulks can't do anything but to stick together and bite. No more ninja moves, no more distraction by sneaking into marine base or killing their rts.
This has become so obvious that Obs are just stragetically overpowered as i watched so many competitive matches. Marines could just cover a very large area with a forward Obs for only 15 res! They even go through walls! and reveal camouflaged aliens! Not to mention that they provide scans! They are even indestructible, unless aliens decide to destroy it.
I hope you guys don't use those 'not good enough' public matches to support your arguments.

Does the internet generation not know any vocabularies other than "trolling"? Here, let me help you:

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/satire

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=trolling
specifically

QUOTE

The most essential part of trolling is convincing your victim that either a) truly believe in what you are saying, no matter how outrageous.

another behavior the internet generation typically exhibits:
quoting from "urban" dictionary.com

LOL :P
I feel like i should up vote this! :D
on another note, what would the year be that begins the "internet generation" you're referring to?
