Just upgraded my pc to something a hell of a lot better that what I was using before, after Upgrading, I seem to Randomly crash, at any time mostly during the main menu, Unsure of the Reason.

PC specs are as Follows.
AMD FX-6200 Six Core CPU (3.80GHz/6MB CACHE/AM3+)
8GB Ram
1GB AMD RADEONâ„¢ HD7750

If i'm missing anything from there let me know :/

You should be able to run it fine as far as performance, are you running windows 8 by chance?

Bumping with Information.(still unable to play)
The crash seems to be caused by my AMD driver Failing, and recovering, though I have re installed my graphics driver already so I don't believe it's the cause.

Can you post your log.txt from %appdata%/roaming/Natural Selection 2
This file is overwritten when you restart the game. so please send us a copy right after you crash.

A copy of dxdiag would also be nice.

Two things to try that are a long shot.

1.) Verify the integrity of the game files.
2.) Reinstall the game. With you upgrading your rig, doing this option might reset the game to what the rig is now at.

Well the error at the end would lead me to believe that something was corrupted at some point. If you have a decent connection I'd say delete the whole NS2 folder and redownload it. Verify integrity may fix it too.

The "Error: Attempted to load remote options from a file that does not exist." is irrelevant. The error is related to a Steam Cloud sync issue.

That doesn't make sense, sync happens automatically as soon as you close the game or it reminds you prior to running it. But you're right that probably isn't the real issue.

I believe it was Ironhorse that said that last night about that error at the PT when I mentioned to him that I get the exact same error. It doesn't hinder me from being able to play. The error will not write to the log file until you exit the game.

When you reinstalled, does your log look like the same from above?
Because those mods are reinstalling themselves.
Just for sake of diagnosing i would unsubscribe from all mods, verify through the mod menu ingame.
Then double confirm by checking your %appdata%/Natural selection 2/ folder and ensure that your workshop folder is empty.

If you are crashing you should get a minidump or a window that says "details" or some link that you can click where it will display text that will seem unfamiliar to you, such as "apphang info" etc... if you could post that, itd be useful.

Also when EXACTLY is this happening? on game launch only? when joining a game?
Have you tried installing A) different video drivers (Latest ATI drivers are reported having problems with NS2) B) The DXsetup.exe in the NS2 install folder?

p.s. that last line in your log, the remote options error is in fact a steam cloud sync error and is completely harmless as others above said. I get it constantly.

Yeah I unsubcribsed to all the mod's before doing the uninstall, taking a guess that they might have caused something, though there not it, the crash I'm talking about is the graphics freezing every few seconds (no matter if i'm on the menu or in game) then it go's black screen for a second then back to the freeze, as in the graphics display driver is crashing, not having this problem on other games, when it fully crash's it fully reboots my PC so I can't actaully get the error window box(mini dump stuff)

I have tried Installing past versions Graphic's Drivers before but I had no luck with it in the past though I'll give it a go again.
Edit: Thought to mention that I have already used DXsetup.

    Confirm the same thing?

If so please merge the issue there.
That minidump would be mighty helpful if you had any way to grab it. Surely its saved somewhere..

I believe there different, as from what i can gather it's related to my graphics driver or card.

Try rolling back to older versions of your graphics driver.
There have been reports that recent AMD drivers have not been working with NS2.
