I nominate a player by the name of World Domination Inc.
I haven't had the pleasure of actually taking orders from this guy, but I have had the humiliation and frustration of of playing against him more than once. Troop movement and multi-tasking are way above par for this Commander. He's definately living up his name.
I also nominate a second player by the name of Moronic.
While not on the same level (yet) and W.D.I., his learning curve was outstanding and his support and ability to listen to his troops was excellent. It was definately instrumental in engineering a great come-back. And the next round, we didn't have a chance against the guy. Good work Moronic, it was a pleasure to fight and die for ya, and a pain in the **obscenity** to play against ya.
Look for them (and me) on Freaks Unleashed NS server.

Within 5 minutes I was confident that following his orders would get us victory. (It did)
I've been playing with [IronShirt]Alucard for the last 3 weeks or so and I must say that he is arguably one of the best commanders out there. Players too. He gets my vote.
I'm honored to be on this list , With a good bunch of guys (no heros) we can do a great job. Thanks for the vote!!!
See now you created a problem, now that you have created a rep for these guys, who may be good. I have personally seen (I know its not a word) 2 of the COMMs mentioned here drop mid-game because they were not being obeyed by every marine, I for one was doing every thing I was ordered to do, but because they have a rep at stake now they dont want to stick around to lose if it doesnt go just right. And the mid-game drop screwed up our side badly both occasions.
Soo, comms dont take this to seriously, being a good loser can get you a better Rep in my opinion.
Gah...Guess im doing a bad job as commander
Well I really enjoyed playing with.. ahh **obscenity**, I forgot his name, yesterday. Chaos? Nono, havoc{VTX}! Just saw him on my server =) Well, was the best commander I've seen though I haven't been around for too long.
I'm a good comm so they say
Here's my vote for Protagonist as well. I just played two games against him, and one with him. In the first, he had absolutly idiotic marines, who were all whining for equipment and not following any orders. Regardless, his building placement was impeecable, he had a very fine phase gate network, and rapidly took two hives. If his marines had used the gates instead of begging and sulking, we would have lost.
The second game, he was **obscenity** at those marines so he joined us as Khaara. So that doesn't matter. We won that game too, just for the record.
The third game, he rejoined marines, and I spent the entire game getting torn to bits by highly efficiant squads who covered each other's backs, did what the commander asked, and guarded key points. Two hives were stolen from us almost immediatly, as in the first game, but this time his marines listened to his orders, and used the phase gates. I died. And I died. And I died again and again, and no matter how organized we were, and trust me... we WERE organized... we couldn't break through this man's IRON CLAD TACTICAL ABILITY AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS.
Yep. That's =|D&S|= Protagonist. And in true movie protagonist form, he devestated the aliens.
Well I've been playing on the same server as Protagonist for quite a while now, and I can easily say he's the best commander to ever show up there. He hasn't used any cheap binds that spawn a million health packs at once, or any exploits at all. The players are almost always really good here, and when he's commander there is a 90% chance of losing as an alien. Sometimes it just aint fun losing so bad!
Here's another keeper: "Serebii". Played a game with him earlier on Underground Sloth. He did great. Like the PTs say is a good idea, he didn't turret farm the base like most commanders do (!!!). In fact, he didn't put any turrets at all. He was a smart, good commander. We won that game we played with him as comm.
There are 2 of us using the nick Protagonist (btw: we do even have the same first name. Big hi to you, Mr. Fx!!) and we decided to straighten this out.
I was the first to register here under that nick, I am from Germany and play mostly (up to now only) on European Servers. As I was contacted by the US-based -=D&S=- Protagonist (to which the majority of you are referring) I changed my nick. I am registered now under Protagonist(GER) here in the forums and play under dust|protagonist. I also do com quite a bit (I do have a pretty decent record) and I remember playing together with two of the guys mentioning Protagonist in this thread. Reading the last few posts I realized that this needs to be sorted out in order to avert further confusion. I guess I am nowhere as good as the -=D&S=- Protagonist. As for an easy way to discern us, he is -=D&S=-Protagonist , or Protagonist, and I am dust|protagonist as a player or Protagonist(GER) in these forums.
Now I hope everybody knows who is who. If there are any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I can't speak for -=D&S=- Protagonist, but I am sure he will comment my post sooner or later.

Protagonist(GER)
PS: I hope my English is sufficent to get make my point clear.
Actually listened to his marines and is a very competant commander. Funny guy as well
Just to let you know Protagonist is now a member of Clan =[SiD]= (Salvation in Death) .. and the Clan =[SiD]= dedicated NS server is hosted on the D&S server
John , Squishy , (crazy tactics by squishy... worked on ns_eclipse, he put 2 spawn portals, and after that an armory/observatory/phase gate, + mines for defense... trust me, it worked... we all rushed after getting full ammo, he put up a 2nd phase gate right outside the hive room, just for whem marines died, then: we'd all go in and take it out and win within 10 mins... he called it a 'Squishy rush' next map i killed him and said 'mmm... squishy!' as a skulk of course)
I love how people nominate themselves lol. dust|protagonist is good, he needs to remember to build turrets at phase points after they are secured, I lost a couple games with him due to that. Other than that, most excellent comm skills.
I tried commanding a pub game for the first time (actually, it was the first time I commanded a month or so before NS was released).
It was ugly ...
lol
makes me never want to look at the command chair again .. but yet, makes me want to climb back in and prove I used to know wtf I was doing ...
Al_Gorge, best commander, ever. Wow. Really. Seriously.
We were on the map with the infamous Horseshoe, which typically sucks marines into the trap of trying to hold it, and losing it repeatedly. Eclipse?
Anyway, we totally ignored resource points and he did a marvelous phase rush that had us set up in two hives within ten minutes. Aliens never stood a chance. It was the most incredible performance by a commander I've ever seen. No marine complained, everyone got the weapons and upgrades they needed, when they needed it, and because he was so incredibly efficient and on the ball, we never even saw a Fade the entire game.

Was very good at working at multiple places. Suggestions and requests (like welders) were met. Excellent waypoints kept the whole team together.
