How to join Modded Servers?

Hi
I want to be able to play on modded(yellow) servers.
However whenever I try to join one, it starts doing its thing. It says downloading mods... then it stops and sends me back to the start screen saying that I do not have the correct mods.
Am I doing something wrong?

I did 2 things :
- Deleted everything in the Workshop folder ( C:Users/xxxx/AppData/LocalLow/Natural Selection 2/ Workshop if I'm correct ) , i think this is what fixed the issue.
- Did a steam file check on the the local files, it redownloaded about 100 MB of files.
After that I joined a modded server and the download finally worked
