I thought it would be nice for marines to have a way to support their 'sneak' attacks. One of the biggest troubles can often be just having the infestation being too damn efficient at informing the hive of marine movements.
For 3 res, the Comm can use 'Neutralize' on infestation, an area of effect like the Scan. Briefly, the infestation will be 'numbed', and not register marine movement or structure damage in that area (drifters included). By having the ability to temporarily obscure alien 'hive vision' smart marines could take control back, and force a smarter game from aliens.
This will also allow the Comm to take a more active role in assisting marines secretly behind enemy lines. I also considered a reverse of this ability in which the Comm can send false alerts to parts of the infestation.
This little ability could make a big difference to clever marines.
