Shortcut for "Join Team"

in NS2 General Discussion
In NS1 there were shortcuts to join Alien or Marine team, i miss that kind off. In the Beta of NS2 there was such an option, but i didnt remember what i have to write, or how i can bind it on buttons?

    there is console (~ key) And type "J1" For marines and "j2" For aliens
    No J3 for random yet or J4 for spectator but they will probably remember them eventually and add them :3

    In console type "j1" to join Marines or "j2" to join Kharaa.
    Don't know if binding still works but "bind F12 j1" should bind F12 to joining Marines as far as i remember?

    Hopefully the F1-F3 keys will be added as well. The setup was nice in ns1.

    spectator is spectate and readyroom is rr..not sure about random. Possibly random?

    Bind your own keys...

    bind F1 J1
    bind F2 J2

    in console.

    Here's a story. I binded "F1" to j1 and "f2" to j2. f2 not F2. It says f2 is invalid in gave me list of valid keys. That list contains F13.

    just for your information some would like f3 for spectate. it had been like that for sometime in ns1 and then it was changed to random teams as default
