Reimagining of Fade Vortex

<div class="IPBDescription">Metabolize within the safety of a stationary, dark shell</div>The current implementation of Vortex is somewhat useless.

As a thought, what about an ability that makes the fade disappear into an semi-invincible black orb/shell (that would stick to the wall/floor) and regenerate (until they stop or until their energy runs out).

This would have an amount of versatility. The main use of it would be so the fade could quickly heal up after a skirmish. But it could also be used as a "oh######therearetoomanymarinesinthisroom D:" button. Where the fade could hide until the area was safe again.

You already have regen, that would just make regen (even more) useless, effectively diminishing your choices.

I wouldn't be opposed to a safe haven idea for the fade, IMO he needs something for behind-the-lines survivablilty

I hardly ever see fades take regen because it leaves them entirely too vulnerable to lucky SG hits and LMG fire. Something like this would allow the fade to remain in enemy territory longer, and thus fufill his role better.

That being said, if the shell worked like umbra and recuded ranged damage by 50% instead of being able to keep a fade alive amid a group of marines, would be a lot more balanced

The only drawback i can see is that by the time vortex gets unlocked, the marines are usually locked up in their main base and delaying the end of the game, making a defensive vortex kind of useless
