DC (red plug) at random interval when connecting to the same server with multiple users from same LA

Posted this on the steam forums, where they advised me to go here.
Whenever my brother and I join the same server, the second player always gets a red plug icon after a random interval of time. This range from 5 minutes to even the next match when the map has been playing for the second time. It always occurs with the second player joining, whether it's me, or my brother.
It seems to happen more frequently (at shorter time intervals) with 20+ player servers rather than 14-player servers, but that's a guess.
The first player joining the server doesn't experience any DC issues at all, not even a hick-up. It's very particularly always the second one joining. No specific steam ports have been forwarded (which would also imply that only the one having the forwarded port would be clean).
This is the first game I experience this particular problem, and I have gone through a lot of multiplayer games with my brother.
There is also no problem at all when both playing NS2, but on different servers.

Run wireshark on the computer that gets the issue, and try to capture it as quick as possible.
Then upload that file somewhere on the internet and link it here.
