Auto weapon pick up

<div class="IPBDescription">Toggle On/Off</div>This is a feature in just about every FPS game I can think of, I want to pick up the welder near 2 skulks, I do not wish to automatically equip the welder now 2 skulks come around the corner, I am now stuck switching from welder to LMG and dying because I picked up the welder.

Please tell me it's coming.

edit: Even switching the welder to 'e' to use it like jetpacks will address this quickly and quietly and with the added bonus of never having to pick up a welder and watch the shotgun disappear.
