Help! My computer downdated my version of ns2!

Just what the title says! Updated to patch 238 played one round, had a crash. On re-opening NS2, the client had loaded build 228!! WTF!?
Here is a screen shot of the console. I have tried: restarting the game, steam, and my computer. I also the the validate files thing through steam. Anyone have any ideeeeeeas pleeeeeease? I really don't want to reinstall the whole game.

First disable all mods. Restart NS2. See if that fixes it. If not, delete & reinstall NS2.

Yea I've tried verifying the game cache already. I think that I am just going to have to re-install. Thanks tho!
