No sound from soundeffect

I'm having a problem with soundeffect entity. I've placed it in my map and selected a sound from the collection, however I do not hear it in game. Is there something you have to do with a soundeffect to make it work other than select the sound you want?

2nd edit: tested and still have an issue: I get no sound in game at all. Sounds in the editor are INSANELY quiet. Any help?
